NCI Student Portal - "MyNCIStudent" 

Introduction to MyNCIStudent

This is a website that acts as a one-stop-shop for all a students to support their academic life in NCI. MyNCIStudent will provide you with a single point access for all IT Services and college communication and information during your time in NCI. 

Some of the IT Services provided include:

• NCI Student Email
• Moodle – Course Management System for your Lecturers Course Notes
• Citrix –Access to your NCI Desktop, Software Applications and Home Directory
• Past Examinations Database
• MyAthens – Online Databases
• MySite – your own customizable area of the Student Portal

Note: Students using Dial-Up Internet connections will experience slowness. 

MySite

This is your own customizable area of MyNCIStudent, where you can view your NCI Student E-mail Inbox, upload documents, add links etc. To access MySite, click on the link on the top right hand corner of the MyNCIStudent page. 

How to log in to MyNCIStudent

 Click on the MyNCIStudent link https://myncistudent.ncirl.ie (also available from the home page on the NCI Website)

• When logging in to MyNCIStudent (or MySite) you will be presented with a pop up login screen.
• This service requires you to specify the domain you are connecting to, which is ncir-campus\
• Enter your username in the following format; domain\username,
  e.g. ncir-campus\x081234567.
• Enter your Network Password
• Click on OK
• You will then be presented with the MyNCIStudent site displaying links to all your NCI Services and information.
