2012 represents a turning point for cloud computing in Ireland. Not only has the entire computing industry continued to set up data centres, software works, and research facilities across the country, but also the scope and number of cloud projects are increasing. Ireland is clearly set to become one of the global capitals of cloud computing.

We, at NCI, are celebrating 61 years of lofty provision of quality education incorporating participation, collaboration, and applied problem solving strategies. This year, we are also proud to be opening our Cloud Competency Centre at the heart of the financial services district in Dublin. From its inception, the Centre has been conceived as a global hub of cloud computing, postulating one of the most unique technological offerings of its kind.

In line with NCI's overarching mission of widening access to education and the official agenda to build knowledge economy skills, the Centre places a strong emphasis on leading aspects of teaching, applied research, and commercialisation of cloud computing. Backed by top-notch local relationships and global advisors, our experienced faculty and practitioners invariably aim to deliver "The Cloud" in all endeavours.

 

 

Our dedicated state-of the art facilities support comprehensive evaluation, grassroots incubation, and seamless adoption of cloud technologies for didactic, commercial, and research purposes. The Centre's purposeful settings foster innovative thinking to fully harness the potential of cloud computing.
