If you're interested in doing a computer course in Dublin, then this part-time MSc course is ideal. This IT and computing course will give you the opportunity to develop expertise in an important growth area of IT that relates to web technologies. The part-time MSc programme is practical in nature and aims to provide individuals with an understanding of how to create cutting edge web applications distributed across the latest platforms to include cloud computing and incorporating the latest trends in web technologies.
As a graduate of this part-time MSc course, you will be able to:
- Create and deploy a commercial web application
- Use both enterprise and web application frameworks
- Investigate the potential of cloud computing and the impact that the cloud could have on developing web application across all major cloud offerings
- Create rich client side interactivity using the latest client side frameworks
- Develop internet rich applications using the latest rich internet application frameworks
- Perform usability testing on your web application to ensure maximum effectiveness including wire framing, eye tracking and web analytics
Note: The college also offers a full-time version of this programme.
Who is this part-time MSc for?
This is a new IT and computing course that will appeal to technical professionals and all those with an interest in applying web technologies to their organisation. This programme is for technical professionals in the workplace and college graduates from cognate disciplines at level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

Duration
Our computer course in Dublin runs for 15 months (3 semesters).
Schedule
The part-time MSc runs on Monday and Wednesday 18.30 - 22.30 and all day Saturdays 09.00 - 17.00.
Entry Requirements
To gain entry into our IT and computing course, you must have an honours (level 8) primary degree in a cognate area with a 2.2 award or higher. The college operates a Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) scheme meaning applicants who do not meet the normal academic requirements may be considered based on relevant work and other experience. This may be assessed using a portfolio of learning, demonstration of work produced and interview.
Award
The Masters of Science in Web Technologies is awarded by HETAC at level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Students who successfully complete this part-time MSc programme may progress to a major award at level 10.

This IT and computing course consists of two taught semesters of 13 weeks duration and a final project semester.
