For Part-Time Applications please use the online application form that is associated with each course or you can request an application form to be posted to you along with some of our brochures. Full-Time applications need to be submitted via the CAO unless you are a mature student in which case you can use the downloadable application form for part time and full time students.

6. How can I pay?

Part Time students can pay in a number of ways;

Pay a 20% deposit for the course and sign up to our easy payment plan. The remainder of the fees can be made in monthly installments through direct debit.

or

Pay 50% before commencement of the course in September and the remainder at Christmas.

A 20% deposit must be made within two weeks of receiving an offer in order to secure your place(up to 55 days from the start date of the programme).This deposit is deductible from the total course fee.  You must have paid a minimum of 50% prior to course commencement with the exception of short programmes where 100% payment is due in advance.

Method of payment: Credit card / Debit Card – not American Express (call 01 44 98 566/569 – Fees Office), cheque, bank draft or postal order

A fee of €25 will be charged for a direct debit returned upaid.

HCC FULL TIME Higher Certificate in Computing Applications & Support Minimum entry requirments are a grade D3 or above (Higher or Ordinary level) in five subjects. HCBS FULL TIME Higher Certificate in Business Minimum entry requirements are a grade D3 or above (Higher or Ordinary level) in five subjects. HCBS Higher Certificate in Business (part time) This programme is designed to appeal to those at work or seeking to re-enter the workforce. Applicants will be considered based on relevant work and other experience.
HCCE Higher Certificate in Computing Applications & Support - [part-time Evening] This programme is designed to appeal to those already working or seeking to re-enter the workforce. There are no specific academic requirements with applicnats cosidered based on relevant work and other experience. Applicants may be required to attend an interview as part of the application process.
HECTUS HETAC Certificate in Business Studies in Trade Union Studies Applicants apply through their Union (ie IMPACT, SIPTU, ICTU, IBEC).
CBA Certificate in Business Analysis This course is run in conjunction with Phil Chambers and the Business Analyst Association of Ireland.
ENTP Certificate in Entrepreneurship Applicants should have an honours degree (level 8) or equivalent. Applicants without a degree may be considered based on work and other educational experience.
FINUAS Certificate in Financial Regulation Applicants should have a background in Finance/Accounting/Financial Law
CERTEMPLAWP CIPD Award in Employment Law and Practise As this programme is designed for people who are or have been, in employment, academic qualifications are generally not necessary. As a result, entry to the programme will be considered on the applicant's individual merits and experience.
CFLMD  Certificate in First Line Management - Day Release As this programme is designed for people who are or have been, in employment, academic qualifications are generally not necessary. As a result, entry to the programme will be considered on the applicant's individual merits and experience.
CFLM Certificate in First Line Management- Evening & Blended Learning As this programme is designed for people who are or have been, in employment, academic qualifications are generally not necessary. DMAPR ICM Diploma in Marketing, Advertising and PR No specific entry requirments, entry to the programme will be considered on the applicant's individual merits and experience.
CWEBTECH Certificate in Science in Web Technologies Level 8 Honours Degree in any discipline
CWEBD Certificate in Web Development The normal entry requirement is for a Leaving Certificate or an equivalent level 5 or Level 6 NFQ award.
DIPENMAN Diploma in Pensions Management and Policy Applicants should have an ordinary bachelor degree (level 7) or equivalent in finance, accountany, business, HR or other cognate fields. Applicants without a degree or with a degree in a non-cognate filed will also be considered for admission based on work and other educational experience.
CPADM Certificate in Pensions Administration Applicants will normally hold a Higher Certificate at level 6 or equivalent qualification in business, HRM, finance or other cognate fields.
DIGIMARK Certificate in Digital Marketing A degree or equivalent at level 8 in marketing or a related field such as business, communications, media, sales etc. Applicants who hold a minimum level 8 or equivalent qualification in a non-cognate field but with work experience in a related area will also be eligible for entry onto the programme.

8. Can I gain Exemptions with my current qualification / work experience?

Exemptions are granted on a case by case basis. To be considered for exemptions an applicant must send copies of their results of their original qualification with their application or describe in detail their work experience. The programme director will then decide which subjects they will be exempt from.

9. I have a current NCI Diploma can I gain exemptions in another course?

Holders of past NCI diplomas will gain entry to year 2 of the Higher Certificate in Business Studies however bridging studies will be required. The bridging studies is usually carried during the first semester and is not a pre-requisite for initial entry onto the course.

11. Do I qualify as a mature student, if so how do I apply?

If you are 23 years of age on or before 1 January in the year of application you qualify as a mature student for admission .You must apply directly to the college before 30th June for all full-time programmes.

13. I already have a FETAC award, how do I apply to NCI?

Applicants with a FETAC full level 5 or 6 award (NCVA Level 2), can apply for full time studies at National College of Ireland. The minimum entry requirements are as follows:

16. Does NCI Accept Bonus Points for Higher Level Maths

25 bonus points will be given to students who achieve a grade D3 or above in higher level mathematics. The maximum culmative leaving cert points total will increase from 600 to 625.

The bonus points will only be relevant in cases where higher level maths is scored as one of the candidate's six best subjects for points purposes. If higher level maths is not among the six best subjects, bonus points will not be applied.

Bonus points for Maths will only be applied to the Higher Certificate in Business (NC103) for the academic year 2012/13.
