School of Computing

The School of Computing, established in 1998, currently has a faculty of 11 full-time academic staff and a number of support personnel. The research focus of faculty in the school is on technology-enhanced learning, who work together as a Research Group in Education and Learning Technologies (REALT), as well as with colleagues in the College’s Centre for Research and Innovation in Learning and Teaching.

The School of Computing delivers a range of high quality programmes catering for both full and part-time students. The programme development strategy of the school is to create programmes that are relevant to the needs of the Irish economy and society. All our programmes have undergone rigorous programmatic reviews in the last year, resulting in a suite of cutting edge and current programmes, ranging from certificate in PhD level, in:
