On Friday 8th July, Prof. Aine Hyland launched Dr. Josephine Bleach's new book:

Parental Involvement in Primary Education in Ireland

at a successful and well-attended launch event held at the National College of Ireland.

Dr. Josephine Bleach is the Director of the Early Learning Initiative.

Progressions

Next Programme Starts Monday 16th August 2010

The aim of this training programme is to provide a Foundation Programme in Finance which will provide solid training for learners and enable them to participate in the opportunities which exist in the IFSC and the Financial Services industry. The programme comprises four main areas of learning:

  • Communications skills in the workplace 
  • Generic business and business administration skills 
  • Specific foundation skills in either funds administration or insurance and banking studies
  • Work experience within the financial services industry

The Progressions course is mapped to the National Framework of Qualifications at Level 5.  Successful completion of this course will lead to a FETAC Level 5 Major Award in Business Studies.

This course is open to those who are currently registered unemployed.  A FAS Training Allowance is available to those who qualify for this. For further information on FAS Allowances please see the relevant pages at the FÁS website.
