Projects:
National E-learning laboratory (NELL)
As part of National College of Ireland, the National e-Learning Laboratory (NELL) is a research facility specialising in usability testing for human computer interactions. Investigators engage in applied research directed at user-oriented testing and to support good design for e-learning, e-commerce and Internet based applications. Researchers can evaluate the students' learning experience in terms of the quality of engagement, learning gain, efficiency, effectiveness and usability.
Since January 2009, we have worked with a number of partners conducting usability testing in our laboratory. We have undertaken testing on a number of applications ranging from on-line accountancy and maths support programmes to usability testing of NALA’s new e-learning literacy tool 'www.writeon.ie'
