Personal Assistant to President

Reporting to:


Purpose of Position:

To provide administrative support to the President

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing queries to the office, answering telephone calls, and responding to emails in relation to President Office enquiries.
  • Diary management
  • Collation of Governing Body, Finance & Risk Committee papers
  • Compiling NC Inbox – internal newsletter
  • Secretary to Executive Board – minutes taking, tracking actions, documentation distribution
  • Dean’s post-graduate scholarship awards – manage process
  • Invoice management, visa requisition & expenses for President’s Office
  • Keeping President’s Office & Strategic Management sections of the staff portal up-to-date
  • Co-ordinate President’s Awards and Honorary Fellowships for Graduation Ceremonies
  • Maintaining an up-to-date database of President office contacts
  • Special projects


Key Attributes

  •  Highly motivated with a minimum of 3 years’ personal assistant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain key relationships
  • Adaptability
  • Adept at multi-tasking
  • Ability to treat sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Experience of using MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint to a high level 

Position: Specific Purpose Contract to cover Maternity Leave (expected duration eight months)
Hours: 28 – 35 hours per week (flexible work schedule is offered subject to prior approval of the employer)
Salary: Within €30,842 - €39,282 and pro-rata to working hours
Holidays: Pro-rata to 21 days per annum
