Students' Union and International Students Society
NCI's Student Union is the representative body for all students, both part-time and full-time, Irish and International within the college. All students are actively encouraged to become involved in the Student Union so that they can directly influence and organise events.
The college has a full-time Student Services and Equality Officer to assist in the running of the social activities in the Student Union, with particular responsibility for the college's international students. Also providing further support to students are a network of class representatives who liaise with the Student Union and the Student Development Officer on student issues of both an academic and social nature.
In 2013 NCI's International Students Society (NCIISS) was established to accommodate the needs of international students and is committed to ensuring that students' time at NCI is as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, both from an academic, cultural and social point of view.
The NCIISS aims to promote communication between international and local students of National College of Ireland through meet-ups, day trips and other activities. NCIISS in association with the Student Union will organise the celebration of festivals from across the globe, organising movie nights and other events.
