... to all new and returning students to National College of Ireland for the 2016/17 academic year. We have been busy making changes to some of your library support and services over the summer which you can read about here.
The library has started automatic renewals. Every student will get an e-Mail notification to remind them to renew their books, followed by an e-Mail detailing which books will be renewed and which books cannot be renewed. Please check your student e-Mails regularly for these e-Mails. Books which cannot renewed will incur fines of €1 per day and will not be reduced.
We have updated many of our online guides and have created new ones to help you with your studies. Head over to our library guides site to see them.
We have introduced online payments for library fines. If you can not pay when returning late books, you can now pay in your own time through the My Account tab in the catalogue. Please note that overdue books must be returned to the library before a fine can be paid.
The Summon search engine changed at the end of August 2016. It still searches and links to most of our online content, but it now looks a little different. We are working on bringing you updated guides, and are happy to answer any questions you may have about using Summon.
We no longer subscribe to XpertHR. We still have many other online resources and will be trialing more resources throughout the year.
We are back to our normal opening hours during term time. Please keep an eye on the website and Facebook page for any changes.
