National College of Ireland Wins Gold for Employability

National College of Ireland is proud to announce that it has been awarded an AHECS gradireland gold award for employability.

Through a project called 'Ctrl, Alt, Compete - A journey to employability through web development', the college's Careers Department, in conjunction with the School of Computing, worked with 54 unemployed students (aged 19-60) from the Certificate in Web Development, to ensure that they would be equipped to compete in the market and secure employment.

Through initiatives such as Webmas combined with tailored career management sessions, 100% of these students have now worked within small teams and developed live websites and are now in a position to compete in the job market.

This award comes hot on the heels of NCI's win at the APMC Star Awards for the college's Seven Deadly Skills event series.
