Our professional development programmes provide continuing professional development opportunities for learning practitioners, working in a range of education and training settings, to develop knowledge and skills in new or specialist areas of practice.

Certificate in Technology Enhanced Learning and Digital Learning Design

The Certificate in Technology Enhanced Learning and Digital Learning Design is designed to support existing learning professionals and pre-service teachers to develop the relevant knowledge, skills and competence for designing and facilitating technology-enhanced learning within relevant FET, ETB, adult and corporate learning sectors.

The Certificate in Learning and Technology will lead to a special purpose award at Level 9 (10 ECTS credits) on the National Framework of Qualifications. Learners who successfully complete this course may opt to apply for the MA in Educational Practice.

Certificate in Leadership, Governance and Change Management in Early Childhood Home Visiting

The Certificate in Leadership, Governance and Change Management in Early Childhood Home Visiting is a 12-week programme where students will develop knowledge, skills, and values, through the study of key topics incorporated throughout the programme. 

These include leadership theories and concepts, sociocultural theory, learning styles, preparing training and development, change and conflict management, and national early childhood frameworks and policy.

The Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care will lead to a special purpose award at Level 7 (10 ECTS credits) on the National Framework of Qualifications.

Learners who successfully complete this course may opt to progress to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Early Childhood Education and Care.

 

Certificate in Curriculum and Pedagogical Practice for Early Childhood Home Visiting

Over the course of this part-time, blended learning Certificate in Curriculum and Pedagogical Practice for Early Childhood Home Visiting, you will develop knowledge, skills and values, through the study of key topics incorporated throughout the programme.

These include pedagogies and curricula, creativity and play, music, movement, art and drama, children’s holistic learning and development, supporting transitions, well-being and parent/family involvement, and Irish early childhood frameworks.

The Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care will lead to a special purpose award at Level 6 (20 ECTS credits) on the National Framework of Qualifications.

Learners who successfully complete this course may opt to progress to the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Early Childhood Education and Care.
