Psychology Research at National College of Ireland

The psychology team at NCI are actively involved in a variety of research projects, across a number of topics and areas of interest. Research is primarily carried out across three streams: Health, Well-being and Cognition; Teaching and Evaluation; Attitudes and Behavioural Science. We also have a number of labs which foster research on more specific topics.

Research Streams

Health, Well-being & Cognition This stream focuses on aspects of psychology related to health, well-being and cognition. Researchers typically identify risk and protective factors that influence health outcomes, and design and evaluate interventions.

Teaching and Evaluation This stream focuses on the scholarship of teaching and learning. We are dedicated to evaluating teaching and learning outcomes, as well as researching interventions to enhance student learning.

Attitudes and Behavioural Science This research focuses on understanding and influencing attitudes utilising multiple measurement approaches and applying principles of behavioural science to explore psychological concepts and foster positive social change.
