Corporate Virtual Volunteering Programme
In 2020-21 all volunteering will take place online due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The ELI Corporate Volunteering Programme has rewarding, diverse and enjoyable volunteer experiences available for the employees or our corporate partners. Volunteers interact directly with children, young people, their families and others in the local community. We have the unique ability to offer mutual benefits - allowing corporate staff to enhance their own interpersonal communication skills while simultaneously making a positive difference to the educational and career aspirations of the young people of Dublin’s Docklands and beyond.
In 2019-20 100% of ELI volunteers enjoyed their experience of volunteering and would recommend the experience to a colleague. Volunteers can commit to weekly sessions or support to once-off events, all time contributions are welcome. Volunteers are fully briefed and trained ahead of their engagements within the community. In 2020-21 ELI will be seeking virtual volunteers in keeping with current restrictions. We look forward to hearing any creative suggestions you may have.
“The exposure to a different group of people probably enhances a child's interpersonal skills. On another level, it was clear that the children were very excited about our weekly visit which must have had a positive affect on them.”
“Great mix of people from different organisations giving up their time. Lots of different personalities throughout. It's important for people to see that everyone's lives are different. Great opportunity for employees to be involved in such a program.”
“I found the experience to be very enjoyable, it being something quite simple but completely different to what I do on a daily basis.”
“The programme shows how such small contributions of time can make such a positive change to both those volunteering and to the community they volunteered into.”
