NCI Cert in Digital Marketing - Meet The Team!

NCI recently announced a new Certificate in Digital Marketing that has been approved by HETAC at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications and is starting on 24th July 2012. A major strength of the course is the calibre of people from industry who have worked with us on the development of the programme and who will deliver the modules. Meet the team!

Programme Director - Etain Kidney

Etain is a researcher in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation. Etain has lectured in entrepreneurship, enterprise and marketing throughout her academic career. Common themes in her work include the spread of ideas, adoption of digital marketing and diffusion of innovation. She believes that digital is now embedded in the learning environment and is constantly working to deliver innovative education that simplifies, creates and engages.

 

Anne Marie Boyhan

Anne Marie is an award winning blogger, digital marketing practitioner and online strategist who began her digital career with Ireland.com before joining Daft.ie as Online Marketing Manager. She then went agency side, implementing internet marketing, online communications and social media strategies for clients like The Ideas Campaign, Three, the Irish Tourist Industry and Carton House. Anne Marie brings a wealth and depth of digital marketing skills, real business world case studies and the ability to demystify digital marketing and social media for all businesses. Founder and Editor of WhatSheWears.ie, Anne Marie is also MSN Ireland’s online fashion editor and was voted Best Blogger (Industry Award) at the Most Influential in Irish Fashion Awards 2011.

 

Christian Hughes

By day, Christian heads up Irish International’s Social Media offering. By night, he manages his own AdAgePower150-rated Blog and contributes to publications like Digital Times. Working with clients such as Eristoff Vodka, Mars Ireland (Uncle Bens, M&M’s, Mars, Maltesers etc.), Bank of Ireland, Goodfella’s, Three and UPC, to name a few, Christian strives to connect clients with their customers through engaged and integrated digital social activities. Before joining Irish International, Christian honed his skills with agencies such as Cybercom, Ogilvy and Betapond.

 

Kirstie McDermott

Kirstie is a media professional with extensive experience across both the print and digital spheres. Her educational background and work experience over her career have been wide and varied – she’s created websites, marketed magazines and worked as a beauty editor – but one thing that marks her out is her ability to attract an audience and get things noticed. The founder of Beaut.ie, Ireland’s most popular women’s-interest website, she’s also the Irish Examiner’s Weekend Beauty Editor and Dyflin Media’s marketing coordinator. Kirstie specialises in great content, creative solutions, driving traffic and delivering messages.

 

Seamus Byrne

Seamus ByrneCo-founder and Director of User Experience at Graphic Mint, a design and marketing studio based in Dublin. Seamus has more than fifteen years experience designing user experiences for web and mobile applications and contributes his combined knowledge of Interaction Design, Multimedia and Management to design and develop user-friendly and innovative, interactive experiences with products and services. He is passionate about Irish design and always proactive in creating opportunities to showcase the caliber and creativity of the Irish design community on the global stage.

 

Dena Walker

Dena is a digital strategist at Irish International. She works with brands including Bank of Ireland, Electric Ireland, Avonmore, Fáilte Ireland and Mars amongst others. As a digital strategist, Dena focuses upon the marriage of consumer insights with technology, to create strategies that enable her clients to optmise their digital activities, in order to deliver against business objectives. Over thirteen years of experience has made Dena passionate about ensuring that digital strategies are user-centric, not platform/channel-centric. This, she believes, is the key to developing a successful strategy.
