The course consists of four mandatory modules. In studying these four modules you will learn about the ethos and structure of credit unions, credit union products and services, credit union governance and operations, and the legal and regulatory environment in which credit unions operate. This course will be delivered in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
As a graduate of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe how the credit union movement serves its members
- Confidently engage with consumers, staff, and management at all levels
- Apply the knowledge gained through this course in the provision of financial services to consumers
In addition, for Republic of Ireland students, completion of Module 2 (Law & Regulation for Financial Services) will count towards gaining a Central Bank recognised professional designation. All you have to do following completion of this certificate is to complete one additional product module in order to gain a designation, for example, mortgages or general insurance.
