Where a student is a CAO first-year applicant and they do not secure their college place, the office must be notified within 48 hours of CAO offers that they would like to cancel their place. In this instance, the full deposit will be refunded. If notice is given after 24 hours, then the applicant will be charged €150 cancellation charge.
Where an international NCI student is unsuccessful in obtaining their VISA they will receive a full refund, providing they notify the accommodation office at least two weeks prior to the start of the accommodation term. If notice to cancel is received later the applicant will incur a €150 administration fee, which will be deducted from their deposit. The applicant will also be liable for the rent until a new applicant takes over the lease. Cancellations must be made in writing and sent by email to email@example.com.
