SUPPORT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
As an international student, you’ll benefit from guidance and support provided by the International Office at every stage of your student journey before and after your arrival at NCI.
PREPARING FOR DUBLIN
Our International Office regularly communicates with applicants and offer-holders, as well as meeting prospective students in Dublin and overseas. A range of information resources and pre-departure meetings are scheduled in the lead up to both our September and January intakes.
As an international student, you must have health insurance before getting your visa. You can purchase medical insurance for between €120 and €170 with NCI’s chosen provider, O’Driscoll O’Neill Insurance. This insurance covers you for all medical expenses that you pay while staying in Ireland, along with up to 14 days in Europe.

The International Office offers an experienced and confidential advisory service for all international students both before you arrive and throughout your time here. Our team can offer help and guidance on issues including immigration, employment, financial matters, personal and family concerns, and academic difficulties.
You can drop into our International Office at any stage or alternatively, we are able to provide advice by email and over the telephone. This provides you with an opportunity to discuss any difficulties you may be experiencing with a qualified person. The counsellor will help by listening without judgement, offering new perspectives and working with you on strategies that are right for you.
The NCI Careers service works to identify and promote events which may be of interest to international students who wish to work in the Ireland during and after their studies. The International Office are also able to advise students on immigration issues related to working in the Ireland.
NCI prides itself on the support provided to international sponsors and their students, ensuring that both receive the highest level of service possible through a dedicated contact. As part of this service, regular progress reports are collated and supplied to sponsors, where authorisation has been provided by the student.
TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS
In partnership with the International Friendship Society, the International Office organises a programme of visits around Dublin and Ireland for International students. These trips can be an excellent way to meet new friends, experience a different part of life in Dublin and take a break from your studies.
