The Cloud Competency Centre is a member of the SMARCO project consortium.

SMARCO recently had its kick-off meeting in Brussels which our colleagues Amanda Miranda de Andrade, and Luid Bernardo Pulido Gaytan attended on behalf of the CCC. The meeting took place over the course of two days on February 19th and 20th 2025. The event highlighted that over the next 4 years, 22 organisations will come together in an effort to address some key issues currently seen in the digital ecosystem, including the lack of focus on development of resilient solutions for smart communities by ICT professionals, and the lack of green, digital, cybersecurity skills among public administrations’ staff working on smart communities.

The kick-off meeting in February was the first time the entire consortium had the opportunity to meet in person and lay the groundwork for the next 48 months. NCI are looking forward to working on this project and collaborating with our international partners to improve the future of the digital ecosystem.
