We are pleased to inform staff and students that Luas operations between Connolly and The Point plan to resume as normal from Friday, 28th of November at 5:00am.
The NTA and TII would like to thank all stakeholders for their patience and cooperation during the bridge works and any disruption they may have caused.
Please find below the current planned phased reopening schedule for next week:
Monday 24th – Thursday 27th
• Driver familiarisation by TDLR – trams operating from Heuston to The Point (25-minute journey time).
• Barriers will remain in place during this period; security will open them to allow trams to pass.
• Traffic management will remain in place.
Thursday 27th
• Jons to remove Harris fencing in the morning to allow pedestrian access.
• DCC to remove traffic management at 5:00pm to allow vehicle access across the bridge.
Friday 28th
• Luas services resume from 5:00am (subject to CRR approval, expected on the 27th).
• Transdev will have a traffic marshal at Amiens Street to direct traffic and advise of tram movements.
We will update staff and students if there is any interruption to this plan, but we are confident we will once again hear the friendly 'ding-ding' of our local tram from Friday 28th November.
