NCI Announces New Industry-Aligned Financial Modules in Collaboration with LIA

NCI is enhancing the BA (Honours) in Business, in collaboration with LIA, with the planned addition of two modules aligned to LIA’s professional education programmes in:

  • Savings and Investment
  • Financial Services Regulations

LIA is the centre of excellence for the education and development of finance professionals, dedicated to enabling and promoting the highest standards of financial advisory practice.

This means students will graduate not only with their honours degree, but also with industry-aligned financial learning that is highly valued across banking, financial services and fintech.

On successful completion, students will be eligible for exemptions towards the APA (Accredited Product Adviser) in Savings and Investments, a recognised designation under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Minimum Competency Code.

Importantly, this also provides a clear pathway for those who wish to progress further towards the QFA (Qualified Financial Adviser), supporting graduates in building a career in financial services, a benchmark qualification proving that an adviser is trained, examined and approved to give trusted financial advice in Ireland.

This enhancement is unique to NCI and will give graduates a valuable competitive edge.
