It is with great sadness that National College of Ireland shares the news about the passing of one of our students, Simanga Mhlanga. Simanga was a first-year student on the BA (Hons) in Psychology and, in her short time at the College, became a valued member of our community. The College extends its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Simanga at this upsetting time.
Simanga’s classmates have been informed of this news and the College would like to remind all staff, students and faculty that have been impacted by this tragic loss, there are counselling supports available. Please do make contact if you need to talk to someone at this time.
Staff are also reminded you can contact the Employee Assistance Programme (1800 995 955) or email email@example.com which is a free, confidential helpline available to provide 24-hour support to all staff, or you can speak in confidence to your manager or directly to our HR team.
Our thoughts are with Simanga’s family and wider community at this most heart-breaking time.
