Marking the passing of NCI lecturer, David Collins

It is with great sadness that National College of Ireland shares the news of the passing of our friend and colleague, David Collins.

David started his journey with NCI as a student in 2009 where he completed a BSc (Hons) in Computing and an MSc in Cybersecurity. David was a valued lecturer in NCI’s School of Computing, and we will especially remember him for the positive impact he had on cybersecurity and academic internship.

Over his many years as part of the NCI community, David saw the growth of the College and made a valuable contribution to our work and to the lives of many students. He will be deeply missed by colleagues, students, and the entire NCI community. Support is available for staff via the Employee Assistance Programme (free, confidential, 24-hour) and for students via Student Support Services.

The College would like to extend our deepest sympathy to his sister Geraldine and to all David's family and friends. May he rest in peace.
