Are overnight guests permitted?

We have a procedure in place to allow overnight guests. All requests for overnight guests must be done through the Accommodation Office. Please refer to the overnight guest policy in the terms and conditions of occupancy booklet.

How many residents share an apartment?

The apartments vary in size between 3 – 8 bedrooms. The kitchen and living areas in apartments also vary in size according to bedroom numbers. 1st year students will likely be assigned to a 6 or 8 bedroom apartment.

Are there fees for Internet connection?

No, an Internet connection is provided in your room. This is a cabled broadband connection. You do need to read and sign the declaration and application for Internet.

What are the office opening hours?

The Accommodation Office is open at the following times:

Monday - Friday 9.00am-1.00pm, 2.00pm-5.00pm and 6.00pm-8.00pm

Saturdays 3.00pm-5.00pm

Sunday 5.00pm-7.00pm.

Opening hours will be extended during allocated check-in weekends. Please note that from time to time meetings take place and the office may be closed for short periods.  In this instance please call back later for assistance.

How do I collect my post and what will my address be?

Post is sorted into pigeon boxes in the Accommodation Office, according to surname. Your address will be:

Your name

  • Your room number and apartment block e.g. Apt 5.2.1 Zurich

  • Campus Residences

  • National College of Ireland

  • IFSC, Dublin 1

How is electricity charged?

ESB cards are purchased at €5 per card. Approximately 1 / 2 cards a week per student will be required. Cards are purchased from the Spar beside the accommodation block.
