NCI welcomes PLC students who are presenting FETAC/QQI level 5/6 awards. Such applicants are assessed separately from all other applicants and do not have to meet minimum entrance requirements based on leaving certificate results.
Students who wish to apply for the level 6 courses at National College of Ireland must hold a full FETAC/QQI level 5 award, obtain passes in all subjects and meet the points requirements.
Students who wish to apply for the level 8 courses at National College of Ireland must hold a full FETAC/QQI level 5 award, obtain 3 distinctions and meet the points requirements.
Visit the Careers Portal website to convert your FETAC/QQI award to CAO points.
How to Apply

Mature applicants (those 23 years of age on or before the 1st of January 2017) can apply directly to the college. Applications will be accepted up until 31st July. For further information contact our Admissions Office.
Applicants presenting a full award will have their points calculated on the basis of their FETAC qualification. For more information regarding FETAC/QQI progression view the details provided on the CAO website.
Students who hold a level 6 FETAC/QQI award may be eligible for advanced entry. To find out more information regarding our advanced entry links please contact Shauni Hegarty, Admissions Assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 01 4498586.
