Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background:
After an enriching career in the corporate world, I chose to relocate to Ireland in September 2022 to pursue an MSc in Fintech—combining academic growth with the thrill of discovering a new culture and environment.
What made you choose Ireland as a place to study and work?
Being an English-speaking country with a thriving financial sector, Ireland presents a compelling environment for academic and professional growth in financial technology. Its dynamic Fintech ecosystem—bolstered by innovation hubs, supportive government initiatives, and proximity to major European markets—makes it an ideal destination to deepen my expertise and pursue impactful career opportunities in the field.

I had applied for the job role via Company job portal
What did the recruitment process involve and how did you prepare for it ?
The interview process was straightforward, consisting of two rounds, one with HR and another with the Operations Manager. Given my prior experience in the same industry, the conversations felt seamless and familiar. However, after taking a break from the corporate world, I made sure to thoroughly review the job description and prepare meticulously to reorient myself and present my best.
What do enjoy most about your current role ?
I really enjoy working in a diverse team
Can you describe the visa process you underwent ?
My visa application is currently in progress. I initially joined my firm on a 7-month fixed-term contract, and upon successful completion of that period, I transitioned into a permanent role.
What is a typical day like in your current role ?
I begin my day by reviewing emails and organizing my to-do list based on task priority. Throughout the day, I participate in multiple calls with stakeholders or clients and maintain constant communication with my team via our group chat to ensure seamless collaboration.
What’s your most memorable experience at NCI?
After several years in the corporate world, I embraced the vibrant rhythm of student life once more forming friendships with peers from around the globe, participating in career fairs and campus events, preparing for interviews, and engaging in a wide array of activities that are reshaping both my personal and professional journey.
What has been the most challenging part of your graduate journey ?
Balancing academic responsibilities with part-time work was a challenge, managing time effectively, staying on top of my studies, and ensuring timely submission of assignments requires consistent focus and adaptability.
