Using the printers

There are 4 printers located in the library for students to use.

NCI operates a secure release print system. To release your print and copy jobs students are required to swipe their student ID card on one of the printers in the library. Print or copy jobs will not be released until you swipe your Student ID card and you have sufficient credit on your account to cover the total cost of the print or copy job.

Students can top-up their print credit balance online. All first year registered students will receive €5 print credit on commencement of their course.

Students who wish to query their balance can log a ticket with IT however, print balance adjustments will not be considered in the following circumstances:

  • Printing a file accidentally
  • Printing a file that contains blank pages
  • Printing a file that contains more pages then you expected
  • Printing a file that is incorrectly formatted.
  • Printing colour instead of black and white

For more information on printing, view the library's guides.
