About Sophie
Sophie Sinclair Kennedy graduated with a BA (Honours) in Business Management from National College of Ireland in 2024. Her journey back into third-level education began as a mature student after an earlier experience of college straight after school did not work out. Returning to education through NCI gave Sophie the opportunity to rebuild confidence, develop academically, and open professional doors.
During her time at NCI, Sophie encountered significant personal challenges, including becoming a parent during her final exams. She speaks openly about the support she received from the College, particularly from her Programme Director, and how that encouragement helped her navigate the demands of study, motherhood and life beyond the classroom. Today, Sophie works with Manna Air Delivery, a drone delivery company operating in Ireland and internationally which recently raised $50 million in capital investment, where she supports executive operations and works on projects focused on community engagement.
Sophie's story is a powerful reminder of the impact of support, flexibility and belief and how returning to education can open doors to new opportunities at any stage of life.
