National College of Ireland is delighted to announce that TY and International students will have the opportunity to participate in our award-winning Young Future Leaders Programme as the 2026 edition of the programme will commence on November 10th.
What is the Young Future Leaders Programme?
The Young Future Leaders Programme is a unique opportunity for TY students across Ireland and high school students globally to experience college-level learning. The programme has been designed to help students develop essential skills for their future, connect with peers from around the world, and get to know NCI, all from the comfort of their home or their school.
Young Future Leaders Programme 2026
Last year, the Young Future Leaders Programme expanded beyond business to include topics from each School at NCI. The programme covered public speaking, critical thinking, project management, coding, problem-solving, and more. Following positive feedback and high demand, the 2026 edition of the programme has been curated to give students a varied mix of key topics. Lecturers from NCI’s School of Computing and the School of Business and Social Sciences are once again joining the Young Future Leaders Programme to bring this year’s cohort a range of classes that will hopefully get them thinking about themselves and what they are interested in.
The aim of the Young Future Leaders Programme goes beyond wanting to give students a fun and innovative experience in a global classroom; the programme aims to help students tap into their potential.
Students who will participate in the 2026 Young Future Leaders Programme are at a key stage in their schooling as they will soon be making decisions about what they hope to do when they leave school. It can be a time of uncertainty or anxiety for many as there can be a pressure to feel like they are making the “right” choice. The programme aims to make those choices less daunting by helping students learn more about themselves, their learning styles, their interests, and what area they might enjoy. Knowing yourself well is a key first step in learning how to lead.
NCI’s Young Future Leaders Programme does not only focus on academics. The academic sessions are combined with a focus on personal development, spending time on personal skills, and soft skills that young people can take with them anywhere, including in their personal lives and relationships.
At National College of Ireland, we believe there are many paths that allow people to thrive. Likewise, there are many ways to be a leader that have nothing to do with titles, but everything to do with confidence, motivation, communication, consideration for others, and bringing your best self no matter your title so you can thrive personally, professionally, and academically.
