Fourth year students looking to get a taste of college life this summer should check out NCI's new summer camp: Ctrl-Alt-Compete.

Taking place over five days in July, we have two summer camps for Transition Year students to choose from: web design (girls only) or data science.

The camps are completely free AND lunch will be provided. So if you're interested in computing and fancy learning about the newest technologies from college lecturers, book your place today!

CTRL-ALT-COMPETE in Web Design

When: July 1st-5th
Where: our IFSC campus, Dublin 1
Time: 10am-4pm 

Girls only Students will design and develop websites and digital marketing strategies, guided by mentors specialised in web development. Students will also compete to create the best overall websites and digital campaigns. During the week students will hear talks from two female guest speakers; one from the tech industry and one from a Digital Marketing Agency. The camp will culminate in a prize giving and graduation ceremony where all students will be presented with a certificate of participation and prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.

CTRL-ALT-COMPETE in Data Science

When: July 15th-19th
Where: our IFSC campus, Dublin 1
Time: 10am-4pm 

Students will design and develop data based applications around a central theme, guided by mentors specialised in data science. Students will also compete to come up with the most compelling inferences from the data sources that they choose. The camp will culminate in a prize giving and graduation ceremony where all students will be presented with a certificate of participation and prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.
