About Adebola
Adebola's story is one of courage, curiosity, passion and reinvention. Before she joined NCI as an international student, Adebola pivoted from a law qualification to working in the tech industry after an early role shaped her future career. Raised in Nigeria with a strong sense of ambition, she quickly progressed from personal assistant to manager and eventually entrepreneurship.
When a move to Ireland approached, Adebola met the challenge with action by enrolling in the MSc in Marketing at NCI. This proved to be a transformative decision as it gave her local insight, a new professional network and an outlet to build confidence after struggling with the transition between countries.
New Horizons
After graduating, Adebola founded Deefrent Media Agency, a company dedicated not just to digital innovation but to representation and empowerment. The agency has a strong workforce across Ireland and Nigeria who help organisations adopt advanced digital and AI-driven solutions. She also plays a central role in the global Women in AI community, serving as Director of Communications.
A passionate advocate for women in technology, Adebola champions mentorship, visibility, and lifelong learning. She highlights the importance of curiosity as a driving force in her journey:
"When you are curious, you seek knowledge, and that opens up opportunities."
Her ongoing curiosity is evident in her varied career, global work as a trailblazer in the world of digital, tech and AI and through her many public speaking appearances.
In late 2024, Adebola contributed to PwC's Women in Tech series with Image Magazine which spotlighted inspiring leaders who carved out remarkable and diverse careers, while contributing to the advancement of Ireland's technology scene and empowering women to excel in the sector. We are proud to have such a strong advocate for women in tech as a member of our NCI alumni community.
