Microcredentials are short, sharp, programmes that give you an in-depth understanding of a key skill area in a focused way. Delivered online (with some classroom seminar options) by experienced faculty, these accredited postgraduate programmes cover the latest thinking in business, computing, and education. Running from Sept to Dec 2026, programmes are funded by the Microcredential Learner Fee Subsidy 2026, meaning fees are subsidised up to 80% for all eligible learners.

Why pursue a Microcredential?
Microcredentials offer many benefits to learners. Notably, these programmes are time efficient as learners earn their microcredential in a specific area in a number of weeks. As these programmes are delivered online, ideally, learners will be able to enjoy the flexibility of online learning and fit their studies around work and/or personal life from home. Microcredentials also allow for natural progression as NCI's microcredentials are drawn from our postgraduate programmes, so should you decide to progress to a full award, you will get credit for this module. As Microcredentials are developed with industry in mind, learners should find their new skills applicable in relevant areas, while also showing a commitment to development, which will enhance your CV and broaden job opportunities. As a number of NCI's Microcredentials are funded by the Microcredential Learner Fee Subsidy 2026 programme, we hope that many learners will be able to benefit from this more affordable pathway to enhance their qualifications and upskill.
