Winter Graduation

The conferring of academic awards at National College of Ireland is a very special occasion, a day of celebration when family, friends and college staff rejoice in the achievements of our newest graduates. We are delighted to announce that the 2019 conferring ceremony for National College of Ireland will be held in the Convention Centre Dublin on Thursday 28th November 2019. 

Please note that the graduation day is broken into 3 sessions:

Morning Session: 11am - 1pm
Afternoon Session: 3pm - 5pm
Evening Session: 6pm - 8pm

Tickets

Tickets cost €60 and are available to purchase on Eventbrite. One ticket entitles entry for one graduand and two guests.

Before the Ceremony

  • Gowning will be available the 27th November from 3pm-6pm in National College of Ireland
  • Students will not be able to graduate if they are not in good standing with the college
  • Graduates will NOT be permitted to leave the ceremony until it has concluded
  • There is a strict cut off time for registration:
    • Morning session: 10:15am
    • Afternoon session: 2:15pm
    • Evening session: 5:15pm
  • Tickets must be printed and presented at registration
  • Holders of incorrect tickets will not be allowed entry

Photography

Lafayette Photography will be providing official graduation photographs on the day. It is advisable to pre-book your photography online. Online bookings will close at midday the day before your graduation day.

Lafayette is open 2 hours prior to your ceremony and to avoid queues you can have your photograph taken beforehand. You do not need your certificate for your photograph as a prop will be provided.

Graduation Ball

The Graduation Ball is one of the most eagerly anticipated evenings of the year and offers a chance for you to celebrate your graduation with those who have helped to make your college experience during your time in NCI. This event is open to all students graduating from NCI - full-time, part-time, postgraduate - and their guests.

Where: Clontarf Castle Hotel
When: Friday 29th November
Dress Code: Formal

You will be treated to the full red carpet experience beginning with a spectacular drinks reception in the medieval lobby with music and a professional photographer. We will then move to the magnificent setting of the Great Hall for a gala dinner, band, DJ and late night bar extension.

Table Arrangements

Whilst there will be free seating on the evening we are delighted to offer those who would like to get together and organise a table of between 8-12 to email Caroline Kennedy at graduationball@ncirl.ie with full details and names before 20th November.

To book a table you will need a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 people.  Please email the names of each person highlighting if they are an NCI graduate or guest. Please email me to book a table when everyone has bought their ticket. We will do our absolute best to accommodate all requests.
