Skills Provision Courses at National College of Ireland

Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris TD, recently announced a number of free and subsidised higher education places under the Jobs Stimulus package to help get people back to work, upskill workers and build economic confidence while continuing to manage the impact of COVID-19.

The funding has been approved to support the provision of the below courses at National College of Ireland. These courses will be free of charge for people who are currently unemployed. For applicants in employment, there will be a fee of 10% of the contribution to the course fee.

These courses will commence in January 202, view the eligibility criteria for further information.

Note: Places on all these online courses are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Postgraduate Skills Provision

These courses will enable people to embark on new pathways, or refresh or reskill in their employment.

Higher Diploma in Science in Computing - Cybersecurity
Learn detailed knowledge and specialised technical skills in security areas such as forensics investigation and vulnerability detection.
Higher Diploma in Science in Computing - Web Development
This stream provides learners technical and development skills in core topics of web programming such as DevOpsSec.

Modular Skills Provision

Modular courses are short and focused and will be offered in a flexible manner, allowing people to gain important skills without taking a considerable period away from the labour market.

Certificate in Science in Computing

Gain fundamental computing knowledge needed to enter industry or to progress on to further higher education courses.
