IFS Apprenticeships

National College of Ireland, in association with FSI, are running international financial services apprenticeships which get you a full-time job for 2 years in a blue-chip financial institution.

Who is it for?

The apprenticeships are for people with different levels of experience, from school-leavers to degree-holders and people with relevant work experience.

What does it get you?

These apprenticeships get you a two-year fixed term contract with a blue chip company where you will work for 4 days a week and study one day a week during working hours at National College of Ireland. Your course fees are paid for and you get a salary.

There are 3 different levels of apprenticeships available:

Associate Professional

The Associate Professional apprenticeship is for school-leavers, people who don't have a third-level qualification and have no experience in financial services.

In the Associate Professional apprenticeship, you will study a Higher Certificate in Business while on a two-year fixed term contract in a relevant role with a salary of €21k.

Applicants will be considered based on either their Leaving Cert, FETAC level 5, or HETAC level 6 Special Award.

Typical roles this apprenticeship can lead to include trustee administrator or tax administrator.

Specialist

The Specialist apprenticeship is for people with a level 8 honours degree or its equivalent in any discipline, however applicants with extensive, relevant work experience will also be considered.

On the Specialist apprenticeship, you will study a Higher Diploma in Data Analytics or Fintech while on a two-year fixed term contract in a relevant role, with a salary of €35k.

Given the technical nature of this apprenticeship, applicants without a relevant qualification may need to provide evidence of technical or mathematical ability.

Typical roles this apprenticeship can lead to include data scientist, data engineer, or data analyst.

Advanced Specialist

On the Advanced Specialist apprenticeship, all applicants are required to have a level 8 honours degree with a minimum score of 2.2. Applicants can come from a cognate or non-cognate discipline but may need to provide evidence of technical or mathematical ability.

On this apprenticeship you will study an MSc in Data Analytics or Fintech, while on a two-year fixed term contract in a relevant role, with a salary of €50k.

Typical jobs this apprenticeship can lead to include business analyst, financial analyst, bitcoin analyst, technical or financial consultant.
