IFS Apprenticeships

National College of Ireland, in association with FSI, are running international financial services apprenticeships which get you a full-time job for 2 years in a blue-chip financial institution.

Who is it for?

The apprenticeships are for people with different levels of experience, from school-leavers to degree-holders and people with relevant work experience.

What does it get you?

These apprenticeships get you a two-year fixed term contract with a blue chip company where you will work for 4 days a week and study one day a week during working hours at National College of Ireland. Your course fees are paid for and you get a salary.

There are 2 different levels of apprenticeships available:

The Associate Professional apprenticeship is for people who have no experience in financial services, who typically do not hold a third level qualification, and are considering an apprenticeship as an alternative higher education and employment route.

In the Associate Professional apprenticeship, you will study a Higher Certificate in Business while on a two-year fixed term contract in a relevant role with a salary of €23k.

Applicants will be considered based on either their Leaving Cert, QQI level 5, or QQI level 6.

Typical roles this apprenticeship can lead to include Fund Administrator, Derivatives Associate, or Corporate Actions Associate.

The Specialist apprenticeship is for people with a level 8 honours degree or its equivalent in any discipline, however applicants with extensive, relevant work experience will also be considered.

On the Specialist apprenticeship, you will study a Higher Diploma in Data Analytics or Fintech while on a two-year fixed term contract in a relevant role, with a salary of €32k.

Given the technical nature of this apprenticeship, applicants without a relevant qualification may need to provide evidence of technical or mathematical ability.

Typical roles this apprenticeship can lead to include data scientist, data engineer, or data analyst.
