The Springboard+ Initiative allows us to offer courses for free, or at a reduced cost, to fill the skills shortages in Ireland. This initiative is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

We will be holding online open evenings this summer where you can learn more about the computing courses we offer at National College of Ireland under the Springboard+ Initiative. 

The courses available through this programme are offered free of charge for people who are currently unemployed. For applicants in employment, there will be a fee of 10% of the normal course fee. Springboard+ is co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.

Springboard+ Courses Available at NCI

• Higher Diploma in Science in Data Analytics - online classes
• Higher Diploma in Science in Data Analytics - face-to-face classes
• Higher Diploma in Science in Web Technologies - face-to-face classes
• Higher Diploma in Computing (specialising in Software Development) - online classes
• Higher Diploma in Computing (specialising in Software Development) - face-to-face classes
• Postgraduate Diploma in Science in Data Analytics - face-to-face classes
• Postgraduate Diploma in Science in Cybersecurity - face-to-face classes

As some of the courses are based online, applicants do not need to be based in Dublin to attend classes.

Open Evenings

This open evening will take place on Tuesday 3rd December at our IFSC campus and will give you a chance to speak directly to a lecturer one-on-one and ask any questions you have about our Springboard+ courses starting in January 2020 which are listed above.

We will also be hosting two online open evenings focusing on the data analytics and software development computing courses offered under the Springboard+ Initiative. An experienced lecturer will conduct a sample online class and a member of the Springboard+ team at NCI and our Education & Training Advisor will be available to answer questions.
