National College of Ireland's MSc in Mobile Technologies (available full or part-time) is intended for IT professionals/graduates that are looking to specialise their knowledge skills and competence for creating solutions for mobile devices and platforms, and to acquire outstanding research skills.
Career Opportunities in Mobile Technologies:
International market reports show mobile as the second most “in demand” area for software development and mobile store front apps are a key area that will see sizable growth due to an increase in consumer comfort with online purchases from a smartphone. Graduates from this course are eligible for positions that require an IT professional specialised in architecting / developing/ testing software solutions for mobile platforms.
As the course is practical in nature, students gain specialised practical and technical skills in designing, architecting, developing and testing advanced software solutions for the Android and iOS devices. The programme develops an in-depth expertise of core technical disciplines such as mobile application architecture and security, application development, usability and Internet of Things. Supplementary to the core technical competencies, students will be exposed to pertinent business strategies, legal issues and product commercialisation associated with the mobile technologies field

The webinar is an opportunity to hear from the Head of the programme Dr. Cristina Muntean and ask questions. Dr. Cristina Muntean is a lecturer with the School of Computing at National College of Ireland. She is actively involved in research in the areas of technology enhanced personalised mobile learning, wireless and mobile communications, end-user Quality of Experience, energy saving solutions for mobile devices. She has published one book, seven book chapters and 67 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and she was awarded four best paper awards for outstanding research.
