President's Award Winners 2019


The annual NCI President's Awards recognise achievements in all aspects of college life including teaching, research, student support, library and staff.

Following a review of all applications by a judging panel drawn from many areas of the college, the winners of the President's Awards 2019 are:

  • Contribution to Student Experience: Mary Buckely, Keith Brittle and Cory Newbigging - The Library Help Centre
  • Contribution to Research: Dr April Hargreaves - Substantial contribution to the research field of Schizophrenia
  • Assessment Innovation: Jonathan Britain and Frances Sheridan - Work-based Assessment for Apprenticeships
  • Distinguished Teaching: David Hurley - Marketing Practice, Capstone Project - Shopify and Victor Del Rosal - Student-led entrepreneurship and innovation for tech-based solution to societal challenges

NCI's President, Gina Quin, stated that "the judging panel highlighted that the standard of applications was exceedingly high which is a huge testament to academic and professional initiatives throughout the college." 

Many congratulations to all of the winners who have demonstrated how their innovative work positively impacts NCI's student community and beyond!

Formal presentations of the awards will take place at our Graduation Ceremony on Thursday 28th November 2019 in the Convention Centre Dublin.
