The project aims to equip professionals, graduates, start-ups, SMEs, and public sector organisations with the advanced digital skills needed to support Europe's transition towards smarter, greener, and more sustainable transport systems. By combining AI, HPC, and practical industry applications, GreenShift will help organisations accelerate research, improve innovation capacity, and contribute to Europe's Net Zero ambitions.

GreenShift responds directly to the growing demand for advanced digital skills across Europe's transport and mobility, intelligent traffic management, predictive maintenance, energy optimisation, digital twins, and sustainable urban transport solutions.

Delivered through a flexible online learning model, GreenShift will provide:

  • A Joint European Master's degree
  • Industry-focused micro-credentials
  • Short courses and specialist training modules
  • Innovation challenges, hackathons, and collaborative projects
  • Practical learning opportunities connected to industry needs

The project brings together a strong European consortium of higher education institutions, research centres, industry experts, and innovation partners. Together, they are creating a future-focused learning ecosystem that supports both the digital and green transitions across Europe. GreenShift also places a strong emphasis on inclusion, accessibility, and lifelong learning.
