International Men's Day, November 19th, 2025

Shining a light on the men of NCI.

My name is Roberto Henrique Frasson Franzotti, and I am the Premises Supervisor at NCI. In my role at NCI, I’m responsible for supervising the daily operations of campus facilities across our Mayor Square and Spencer Dock campus buildings. This includes reporting issues to the maintenance team, supervising cleaners and Premises, ensuring health and safety standards are met, supporting events, and making sure everything runs smoothly across the College buildings. I have worked at NCI for almost two years.

My path to NCI

Before joining NCI, I served as a First Lieutenant in the Brazilian Army for eight and a half years. During my last four years there, I worked as the manager of the Social Communication Section, where I was responsible for coordinating people, resources, and communication strategies.

I hold a degree in Business, which I completed in Brazil, and I’m currently pursuing my master's in Business Administration (MBA) at NCI. I joined NCI as a Premises Operative and, after one year and five months, I was promoted to Premises Supervisor. I’ve always enjoyed managing people and processes, and that passion is what motivated me to continue developing my skills through this programme.

Aspirations and motivations

When I was younger, I always dreamed of working in a professional environment, wearing formal clothes, and being involved in management. However, most of the men in my family were in the military, so I ended up following that path for a while.

Today, I work in an educational environment, wearing the formal clothes I used to dream about, and supervising the day-to-day operations. My goal now is to keep growing in my career and continue developing my leadership and management skills.

I am motivated by my family, especially my wife. I want to provide the best life possible for them. They give me purpose and drive me to keep improving every day, both personally and professionally.

What does International Men’s Day mean to you?

For me, International Men’s Day is a good opportunity to reflect on what it means to be a man in today’s world, not only in terms of responsibility and leadership, but also kindness, respect, and emotional balance.

In my experience, I’ve always worked in environments with a mix of men and women, and I’ve learned a lot from both. When I was in the army, the environment was mostly male, and leadership was very structured. Moving into education was a big change. It’s a more diverse and collaborative setting, and I’ve really enjoyed that.
